ABOUT US
Manville Community Church has ben serving Niobrara County for 120 years. Everyone is welcome to attend all the activities at Manville Community Church. Sunday Morning worship is at 10 a.m. Manville Community Church is an all-denominational congregation. Christ held no denominational preferences as shown in Matthew 16:18, nor did he teach denominational differences.
Communion
We at Manville Community Church believe in open communion, and that all followers of Christ are welcome to participate in this ordinance (1 Corinthians 11:23-29). Communion Sunday is the first Sunday of every month at Manville Community Church.
We at Manville Community Church follow “believer’s baptism” by immersion, as shown in Mark 1:-9-10 and Mark 16:16.
Music
As a regular part of our worship, we sing the time-honored, traditional songs of our faith from a hymnal with accompaniment by a pianist.
Mode of Dress
Our dress is informal.
Building History
The main church building with the steeple was built on site in Manville, Wyo., and established as a Methodist church, 18 June 1906. Its preacher at that time was a Reverend E.P. Hughes.
It was changed in the late 1950s to a Christian Missionary Alliance congregation. The Fellowship Hall in the back of the church was moved from Keeline, Wyo., in the late 1950s. It was a Congregational Church that stood just east of the old schoolhouse.
